The interviews

Candidate-led cases

You lead the case: you decide what to look at next and say why. BCG also asks about your experience.

  • End every structure by saying where you'd start and why.
  • Expect to set up your own calculations.
  • Keep answers short and lead with your conclusion.

Common questions

Does everyone get Casey?

No. It depends on the office and the role. Your invitation or recruiter will tell you.

Can I use a calculator?

BCG's pages don't say for Casey. Candidates usually report using a calculator and paper, so check your invitation.

What is the Consultant Career Assessment?

The first online test for many US applicants. It takes about 30 to 35 minutes and has to be done within 48 hours.

How long is the practice case here?

About 20 minutes. It's a shorter complete case, so you can repeat it.

Can I reapply if it doesn't work out?

Yes. BCG suggests waiting at least 12 months.
